Granite Digital bolts on Willows Consulting

Granite Digital has effected another bolt-on acquisition with the purchase of Dublin website developer Willows Consulting.

Willows Consulting was founded in 2002 by Sean Owens (55) and Aine Williams (51). The business had six people on the payroll in 2017, the last time the company’s accounts detailed headcount.

Willow Consulting’s recent projects include a new SaaS ecommerce builder for Sage50 (50ecom.com).

Other clients include the National Gallery of Ireland, Bord Na Mona, CityJet, Fexco and the FAI.

Granite says that Willow’s open-source eCommerce technologies integrate with a wide range of B2B and B2C eCommerce platforms such as Shopify, Prestashop, Magento, OpenCart and BigCommerce, as well as accounting platforms including Intact, Sage50/200, Opera, SAP and Kerridge.

Willows Consulting will become a wholly owned subsidiary within the Granite Digital group.

Based in Cork and with offices in Dublin and Galway, Granite Digital says it is Ireland’s largest independent digital agency. Clients include Lidl, Dalata Hotel Group, Bord Bia and Huawei.

In recent years Granite Digital has subsumed Connector, Webtrade, MediaOne and Apps Made Easy. Employee headcount is now c.80 people.

Willows Consulting Ltd had net worth of €300,000 in December 2020. Current assets amounted to €426,000 and liabilities were €130,000.

The company shareholders are Sean Owens (51%), Aine Williams (44%) and John Cahill (5%).
