Dubin-based Creative Retail Solutions says it is investing €1 million in 15 pop-up Halloween stores across the UK and Ireland. Over 160 part-time positions will be created, and six fulltime roles in the online side of the business.
According to Shelflife, Halloween is worth €41m to retailers in Ireland and continues to grow.
Vincent Lynch of Creative Retail said: “Halloween has always been popular in Ireland, but now it has grown into a huge holiday. We expect Halloween 2015 to be an especially busy one. When Halloween falls on a Saturday consumer spend increases. The costume market continues to be incredibly successful for us and is increasing profitably year on year.”
Halloween HQ’s flagship store has just opened at the Dundrum Towncentre for the second year. Halloween HQ will open three stores in Newcastle, Manchester and Leeds.
Halloween is a native Irish festival, a celebration of the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, which was brought to America by Irish emigrants and has become more popular in the US than anywhere else worldwide.
Creative Retail Solutions is currently seeking locations from 1,500 sq.ft for additional Halloween HQ outlets.
