HR consultancy and recruitment firm HR Buddy and remote work non-profit Grow Remote have announced a partnership to support employers nationwide by providing them with 'remote ready talent'.
HR Buddy specialises in recruitment for HR director, management, administrator, talent acquisition, recruitment and payroll specialist positions, while Grow Remote aims to make remote work visible and accessible by enabling people to work, live and participate locally.
The companies have created a pool of 'remote ready talent' from jobseekers that meet five key requirements: self-motivation, excellent written communication skills, independence, collaboration and experience with remote working tools.
"This partnership provides an opportunity to help employers nationwide attract and retain the best talent in the HR field, regardless of location, and an opportunity through our partnership with Grow Remote, to match remote ready professionals with companies that need that talent and want to ensure that they will do “remote” well," said Damien McCarthy, CEO of HR Buddy.
"At HR Buddy, we focus on HR only and over the years have built up a network of HR professionals who are open to new opportunities and challenges. This HR-to-HR recruitment approach works in finding the best talent, the right option and best fit in an efficient and smart method.
"An organisation’s HR & people leaders are critical in leading high-performing remote teams and we are very excited to help nurture this talent and provide organisations with exposure to that talent.”
Tracey Keogh, co-founder at Grow Remote, said: “Ireland needs significant development to build a world class remote work ecosystem that can compete internationally. One component of that is third party service providers - there is no remote recruiter in Ireland and partnering with HR Buddy is a significant development for the sector.
"It’s important to note that these jobs are all advertised without location and are often between home, office and hub. We encourage anyone curious to make contact.
"It is Grow Remote’s job to increase the supply of remote jobs by employers, increase the demand for remote working by individuals in Ireland and facilitate the recruitment of people living in Ireland to remote job positions. We believe our partnership with HR Buddy will further continue to help achieve that goal.”
Employers will be required to have a written working from home policy if the Right to Request Remote Work Bill becomes law, and will have the right to refuse remote working on 'reasonable grounds' set out in the legislation, which was published earlier this year.
Research from Dell Technologies published last week shows that six in 10 employers are not experiencing a better work-life balance with the shift in working patterns, but flexibility remains a preference of workers.
