HR software provider HRLocker has announced it will hire 50 new staff over the next two years following a €2m fundraise.

The HRIS platform developer will double its headcount to fill newly created roles across all operations, including product development, sales, and marketing.

The Lahinch-based software company intends to break into new international markets, expand its product offering, and grow its core customer base in Ireland and the UK with the investment.

HRLocker has already doubled its workforce since 2021 without external capital, buoyed by accelerated demand for digital transformation of HR practice since the pandemic, and experiencing an "unprecedented return".

“As flexible, remote and hybrid working becomes the norm, technologies that enhance employee experience and maximise engagement are in greater demand,” said Adam Coleman, CEO of HRLocker.

“Organisations want their HR people focused on higher, more business-critical activities that align with company-wide strategies and promote diversity, inclusion and belonging, not spending their time on form-filling and data entry.

"The expansion of our team means we can continue to deliver these tailored solutions so businesses can manage and engage their people at scale, regardless of location.”

The cloud-based, GDPR-compliant HRIS platform automates many elements of HR workflows such as payroll reporting and allows companies to manage their staff, whether they are working in the office or remotely.

Prior to founding HRLocker with John Dennehy, Coleman worked as a head of human resources for O2 before establishing his own HR consultancy. Dennehy sold his stake in the business to Coleman in 2013.

Filings for HR Interventions Ltd show that MACX3 Investments Ireland Ltd (€500,000), software company Waterford Technologies Ltd (€293,000), and Wingate Square Capital Ltd (€200,000) are among the recent investors in the company.

HRLocker Nominees Ltd, which lists Coleman and HRLocker COO Crystel Robbins Rynne as directors, invested more than €1m in HRLocker since new shares were made available in the summer.
