If you want to support your local post office simply by providing a few personal details, a new initiative from An Post Insurance will allow you do just that.
Just drop in to the local post office, give in your name, some contact details and your home and/or motor insurance renewal dates, and as those dates approach you will receive a quote from the company.
And your local PO will get something in return. All quotes completed by Post Insurance from these referrals will generate commission payments directly to your post office, and no policy purchase is necessary. But an additional commission will be paid for any of policy quotes then purchased by customers.
Post Insurance believes that its incentive scheme will persuade more people to make the switch and help their PO at the same time.
Head of marketing Gary Finnerty (pictured) commented: “People like to support local but sometimes do not see an easy way of doing that, given their hectic lifestyles. This is a win-win promotion which allows people to support their local post office in a small way while at the same time getting access to some great home and car insurance rates and the chance to win a holiday of a lifetime.
“We in Post Insurance want to work with local post offices to bring excellent insurance rates to drivers and homeowners throughout Ireland to the mutual benefit of postmasters and Post Insurance. This promotion is a step towards achieving that ambition. Participation is only a text away.”
Anyone who gives the necessary details is also entered into a prize draw for a €5,000 holiday. There are three ways to participate: ask your PO counter staff; use the Freepost form available at all post offices; or text POST, your name, the name of your preferred post office and the month of your car or home insurance renewal to 51500.
