Kilkenny Design, the Irish family-owned homeware and design retailer, has opened its 18th store at Nutgrove shopping centre in south Dublin and made five new hires, including deputy store manager Aoife Gorman.
The store will feature a curated collection of Irish brands and makers, including products from Dublin designers Alan Ardiff, Green Angel and Celtic Candles, as well as best-selling brands such as the Handmade Soap Company, Newbridge, Max Benjamin, and Paul Maloney Art.
Evelyn Moynihan, CEO of Kilkenny Design, said the opening of the Nutgrove outlet was exciting and welcome for the company following a challenging two years during the Covid-19 pandemic.
"We are absolutely thrilled to open a new Kilkenny Design store at Nutgrove Shopping Centre," she said. "As founders of the Champion Green initiative, supporting local wherever possible is vital to ensure our communities and town centres remain vibrant in the months and years ahead.”
“We look forward to building strong relationships within the community and surrounding areas of Rathfarnham, creating jobs in the locality, and showcasing the very best of Irish makers and designers.
"It is a very exciting time for Irish retail as consumers make the return in store again and enjoy new shopping experiences. Our team is very much looking forward to welcoming new customers in the coming weeks.”
Speaking about the exciting new addition to the retail destination, Steven Stocks, general manager at Nutgrove shopping centre, said: “We are delighted to welcome Kilkenny Design to the Nutgrove Shopping Centre family, a brand that is a champion of Irish design and truly compliments our first-class retail mix.
