MediaCom Ireland, the media planning and buying agency, has won the Klarna Group account after a pan-European competitive pitch.

MediaCom is now Klarna’s retained media agency for Ireland, the UK, Spain, Italy, and France.

Under the contract, MediaCom says it will work with Klarna Group on media planning, optimising performance across the company’s paid digital media, and using wider communications strategies to identify growth opportunities in Ireland.

The Swedish fintech company officially launched in Ireland in 2021 as a ‘buy now, pay later’ finance provider.

Klarna’s presence in Ireland started with early-stage testing with Irish merchants and Irish consumers in May 2021 before launching officially with a starting group of five employees, with expansion planned in the near future.
