IMMA head of development Aoife Flynn said: “Above all else IMMA is committed to supporting artists’ work, and we are indebted to visionary partners like Matheson who work with us to support the development of contemporary art in Ireland.

“As contemporary visual arts strengthen in Ireland, artists’ work is increasingly recognised on the international stage, as well as making an invaluable contribution to contemporary Irish society. Matheson is the ideal partner to support us in this aim, given their strong Irish roots and their international outlook.”

The museum is home to the National Collection of Modern and Contemporary Art, which now includes more than 3,500 works, and is visited by an average of 500,000 people each year.

Matheson partners chairman Tim Scanlon added: “We are delighted to continue our association with IMMA. At Matheson, we strive to make a meaningful contribution to our community and our relationship with IMMA has helped us to realise this.”
