DMG Media Ireland has been named Sales Team of the Year while RollerCoaster.ie won Media Brand of the Year at the Media Awards 2022, which took place at the RDS on Thursday evening (28 April).
DMG Media, the publisher of Business Plus and the Irish Daily Mail, also won Silver awards in the Best Use of Sponsorship for EVOKE.ie's support of the FAI Women's Cup and in Best Use of Data categories.
The company's work with Cadbury on the Take 5 campaign for Snack bars won a Bronze prize in the Best Sales Initiative category on a night where the Omnicom Media Group (OMG) landed the Gold.
OMG was recognised as Agency Network of the Year, while its subsidiaries OMD and PHD Media picked up nine Gold awards between them, including Grand Prix and Media Agency of the Year (ROI or NI) honours for PHD.
PHD also won Gold in Best Long Term Media Strategy for its work with Boys & Girls for its work with Škoda, Best Collaboration between Agency and Media Owner for its collaboration with Virgin Media on the 'Guinness: Connecting the sofa-stranded at Christmas', and Best Use of Sponsorship for its Guinness #Neversettle campaign for the Women's Six Nations.
The company's Leah Hughes also came out on top in the Rising Star category, while OMD triumphed with Gold awards in the Best Use of Data, Best Use of Audio, and Best Use of Cross-Platform Out of Home categories.
Former Havas Media Ireland CEO and long-time consultant Graham Taylor was named Media Hero, and Gold awards were also won by Havas, Mediacom, Spark Foundry, Mindshare and PosterPlan, and Mammoth.
