Mulberry has signed a lease with Hines to open a new shop at 24 Duke Street in Dublin. The store is expected to open for Christmas trading shortly.

Established as a family business in Somerset in 1971, Mulberry is the largest manufacturer of luxury leather goods in the United Kingdom.

Its signature style playfully interprets heritage for modern lifestyles across bag, accessories, and jewellery collections.

Hines asset manager Niall Ryan commented: “The decision by Mulberry to open an own-door store on Duke Street is another very positive development for Grafton Street trading and underscores its status as the city’s premier location for premium brand shopping.

“We are also seeing significant interest being expressed by a host of other major international brands looking to locate in this part of the city at the moment and anticipate further positive announcements to come in H1 2023.”

Darragh Cronin of Savills, who represented Hines, added: “The Grafton Street area has seen a remarkable turnaround since the Covid re-openings with a whole host of world-renowned brands taking new stores including Lego, Russell & Bromley, Skechers, Canada Goose and Mont Blanc.

“We believe the arrival of another renowned luxury brand and choosing to locate in a stand-alone retail unit, will trigger further interest from other big names for similar opportunities.”

Hines is also leasing the new Hyde restaurant and bar, also on Duke Street. Spread over four storeys, Hyde comprises separate café and cocktail bars, a contemporary Asian restaurant, terrace and separate rooftop bar.
