Vaccination programme hailed at PMI National Project Awards

The HSE's Covid vaccination programme has been named Ireland's Greatest National Impact Project by the Project Management Institute at its National Project Awards.

The vaccination programme was one of two HSE projects shortlisted in the category, alongside the HSE eHealth digital response to the Covid pandemic.

The programme was selected ahead of the construction of the new FAB34 plant at Intel in Leixlip, the Revenue Commissioners' PAYE modernisation programme, and Three Ireland's connectivity project for smart meters.

The HSE was also recognised alongside the Government High Level Taskforce and the Department of Health for the Covid vaccination programme in the Public Sector Project of the Year category, ahead of the Covid-19 Tourism Business Continuity Project and DCU Futures.

Elsewhere, the HSE Dublin South, Kildare & West Wicklow Community Healthcare PMO won the Programme Management Office of the Year Award.

Glanbia won the Private Sector Project of the Year Award for its Grow@Glanbia business transformation project, beating out National Broadband Ireland and New Ireland.

Project Management for Social Goods was awarded to Cornmarket Group Financial Services for Pink & Blue Power, and Niamh Storan of Stryker won Project Professional of the Year.

The HSE won Ireland's Greatest National Impact Project at the PMI National Project Awards.
