Media buyers Zenith and Mediaworks are consolidating to create a new team in marketing services company Core, which says the combined entity will now operate under the Zenith name.

The move, which brings together a broad range of media specialities, creates one of the largest and most experienced media teams in the country, according to Core.

The consolidation will take effect from July 2022 and will be led by a combination of the management board of both teams, led by managing director, Paul Moran.

Chris Nolan, former MD of Zenith, will continue to be involved in the transition process, with the new team and with relevant clients, after which time, he will be embarking on an alternative role with Core.

Aidan Greene, the new CEO at Core, commented: “Bringing together these two extraordinary teams will build on their excellent heritage of client service, award-winning innovation and business effectiveness. This will combine the unique strengths of both to deliver deeper support and wider access to specialists for our clients.
