Tipperary beauty brand Nunaïa has been picked up by Aer Lingus for sale on its flights.

Nunaïa’s Superfood Cleansing Balm is on sale on board for €52, a saving of €7 on the shop price.

The balm aims to clean and remove even tough eye makeup without stripping or drying the skin. Ingredients include sacha inchi and maracuja, antioxidants, and fatty acids.

“Use as part of your double cleanse routine or as a hydrating botanical mask to hydrate and restore glow,” the brand advises.

Founder Nicola Connolly spent over a decade working as a sustainability consultant for international development agencies and NGOs with traditional communities in the Amazon Rainforest, Galapagos Islands and Andes mountains of Peru and Ecuador.

She says her focus was on helping these communities create sustainable business models.

She also apprenticed for seven years with traditional healers studying plants and herbalism and the use of plants and rituals to restore physical, emotional and spiritual health.

According to Connolly, these experiences led her to found Nunaïa as a way to “help customers find a greater sense of connection and balance in their day”.

“All Nunaïa products have been formulated and crafted to nourish, restore and renew not just your skin but your overall wellbeing and inner balance with simple ritual steps that bring more mindfulness to your skincare ritual,” Connolly adds.

“This is an exciting time for Nunaïa, I am thrilled to have our balm launch on board Aer Lingus flights. To be working with such an iconic Irish brand is a fabulous opportunity.”

Connolly’s venture has sourced €50,000 Enterprise Ireland funding and is participating this month at the Ireland pavilion at Cosmoprof, the world’s largest beauty trade event in Bologna.
