Law firm Pinsent Masons has appointed Michael Finn as a partner at its Dublin office, having hired Finn away from Matheson where he headed its intellectual property disputes group.
Finn, who previously established Matheson’s life sciences regulatory and litigation practice, will work alongside intellectual property and data litigation specialist Ann Henry to enhance Pinsent Masons's big pharma offering.
Head of life sciences Clare Tunstall said: "Pinsent Masons has a pan-European team of lawyers specialising in life sciences and healthcare, who advise across a range of IP, transactional and regulatory matters. Michael's stellar reputation and experience makes him a fantastic addition to our team.”
And at Mason Hayes & Curran, the firm’s technology team has gained a new partner with the promotion of John Farrell from senior associate.
Farrell specialises in large-scale technology projects, as well as providing strategic advice on privacy, e-commerce, blockchain, AI and connected devices and has advised global corporates on the implementation of GDPR and the EU Digital Single Market reforms.
Partner and head of technology Philip Nolan said: “I am pleased to announce John’s appointment. His deep expertise in large scale technology projects and privacy and data security law, and his well-established reputation as a practical, strategically-focused lawyer, perfectly complements our market-leading practices in these areas.”
