PRCA elects Martina Quinn as chairperson

The Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA) has elected a new chairperson and board of directors.

Martina Quinn, founder of Alice Public Relations has been elected chairperson, succeeding Owen Cullen, who becomes the ex-officio member of the board.

Founded in 2015, Alice Public Relations has managed PR campaigns in relaton to climate action, reproductive rights, LGBTQ+ rights, health awareness, employment and training opportunities, children’s rights, integration, and culture and heritage.

Quinn been a member of the PRCA board since 2020.

“During challenging times, Public Relations professionals have an important role to play,” Quinn stated.

“As PRCA chair my priorities will include demonstrating how PR contributes to positive societal change, increasing diversity in the profession, and nurturing the next generation of communications professionals.”

The Public Relations Consultants Association is the trade association for  consultancies engaged in the practice of public relations.

Established in 1989, it provides a forum for members to communicate with each other, the government, and other public bodies and associations. It also aims to represent the Irish PR sector in the media and internationally.

Incoming board members include Kathryn Byrne of Limelight Communications; Claire Feely of Elevate PR; Brian Harrison of MKC Communications; and Susie Horgan of Springboard Communications.

Justin Bowers, Lorna Jennings and Gill Madden were re-elected to the board at the organisation’s AGM.
