Refurbed, the online marketplace for refurbished electronic devices, has introduced a new B2B offering to facilitate bulk buys of refurbished devices.
The company says that buyers can save up to 65% when opting to buy ‘sustainable tech’.
Refurbed has a range of smartphones, laptops, tablets, monitors, desktops, printers and scanners available.
How it works is that where the order is at least 10 items, Refurbed will check its inventory and provide a bespoke quote.
Buyers provide request details such as quantity, device name, storage space, condition and colour. If the buyer has no preference, Refurbed selects the best option for the quote.
Refurb says all its products undergo an up to 40-step refurbishment process to restore to factory settings. There is a minimum 12-month guarantee and Refurbed’s B2B products operate under a reverse VAT charge.
As an additional green lure, Refurbed promises to plant a tree with every purchase to offset any carbon emissions during the refurbishment process.
Refurbed also supplies a digital badge for companies to show off their commitment to sustainable tech.
Refurbed said it will also quote for buying back old equipment.
Marketing manager Pádraig Power commented: “This is a ground breaking day for Ireland’s circular economy and one that I hope marks a positive step towards a greener future for our businesses.
“With this new category now available, Irish companies can ensure that their offices and work-from-home setups are well equipped with sustainable technology and do their part for the environment.”
Refurbed recently launched refurbished game consoles and household appliances, and claims that 1 in 40 households in Ireland have purchased a device on the platform.
Founded in Vienna in 2017 by Peter Windischhofer, Kilian Kaminski and Jürgen Riedl, Refurbed employs over 250 people.
