The airline’s summer 2016 schedule from Dublinb, also announced today, comprises 83 routes in total and extra flights on 14 routes, including Barcelona, Berlin, Alicante and various UK destinations. Ryanair said that the 742 weekly flights in the schedule represented 15% growth.
Ryanair will operate high-frequency services to Brussels (3 x daily), London (17 x daily), Madrid (3 x daily), Milan (2 x daily) and Rome (2 x daily).
Ryanair is also continuing its brand image overhaul, with a new personalised website in the offing in October. New crew uniforms, better in-flight menus and cabin interiors will also be introduced before the end of the year, the airline said.
Kenny Jacobs, Ryanair’s chief marketing officer, said that the airline had a record summer 2015, growing its traffic and load factors, as well as improving its punctuality.
“Our Dublin summer 2016 schedule will deliver 11.75 million customers per annum at Dublin Airport,” he added.
Ryanair’s extended schedule for 2016 was welcomed by Dublin Airport’s MD, Vincent Harrison.
“This announcement is good news for Irish business and tourism to Ireland, particularly as a recent economic study highlighted the huge importance of Dublin Airport as an engine of growth for the Irish economy,” he said.
In the first seven months 2015, over 14 million passengers used Dublin Airport, which is a 15% increase on the same period last year.
