SuperValu Insurance is to offer lifetime insurance cover for pets. The announcement comes after the brand launched both life and mortgage insurance last year.
SuperValu also supplies car, home, travel and van insurance, and earlier this year agreed a strategic partnership with travel influencer Rory King of Rory's Travel Club.
The launch of SuperValu pet insurance is expected to increase SuperValu’s overall insurance customer base. The company said it will make it one of the largest intermediaries in the Irish personal insurance sector.
The insurance, which is offered in partnership with global insurer Cover-More, provides lifetime cover for pets. It also includes vet fee cover up to €6,000, the highest level of veterinary cover currently available in the Irish market, according to SuperValu Insurance.
Policyholders have access to SuperValu’s 24/7 PawsOnCall Careline for round-the-clock support when needed. SuperValu will also offer a range of perks to all new policy-holders including: a €40 SuperValu voucher; access to a lost and found pet reward service; and multi-pet discounts.
