Tayto hit a bogey with crisp recall

Tayto has issued an urgent product recall after tiny pieces of golf ball were found in some of their crisp packets.

The company issued a statement explaining how the golf ball fragments were believed to have “inadvertently been harvested” with potatoes.

The recall was ordered over fears the fragments posed a risk to health if consumed.

A spokesperson for the company said: “Tayto Snacks is issuing a voluntary product recall. Fragments of a golf ball were found to be present in a small number of packs.”

The following products, all with best before dates of 21/08/24, 22/08/24 & 23/08/24 are affected:
