The Bridge 1859 has marked the tenth anniversary of opening with a unique and exclusive 10-year-old Irish Whiskey

The pub, formerly Bellamys, was taken over by the rugby quartet of Jamie Heaslip, Sean O’Brien and the Kearney brothers, Rob and Dave, along with publican Noel Anderson in September 2014.

The limited edition whiskey, produced in collaboration with Two Stacks Whiskey, is a blend of Single Malt and Single Grain whiskies distilled in early 2014 at the renowned Cooley Distillery in Co. Louth.

Following initial maturation in ex-bourbon casks, it underwent an additional finishing process in a First-Fill ex-Oloroso Sherry Hogshead from Jerez, Spain, overseen by Two Stacks Bonders and Blenders.

The result is described as a whiskey that embodies the essence of The Bridge 1859's spirit – vibrant, bold, and full of character.

Business Bulletin

According to The Bridge 1859, the whiskey is “bottled at a generous 48.5% strength, the whiskey boasts a deep, rich red hue, a testament to its unique maturation process.

“It delivers a complex nose of ripe orchard fruits, sticky fruit cake, vanilla, and oak.”

There will be only 300 individually numbered 700ml bottles available, alongside a limited release of 100ml cans.

"It’s been an incredible 10 years at The Bridge 1859, and we wanted to do something truly special to celebrate this milestone.

“This whiskey represents everything we love – quality, character, and a bit of Irish soul.

“We can’t wait to share it with our customers and the community that has supported us from day one."
