Toyota has partnered with WellFest 2022 as the official car sponsor of the annual wellness festival, now in its seventh year, with up to 10,000 people expected to attend the event at the Royal Hospital, Killmainhan on 7-8 May.

The carmaker will host a dedicated chill-out area with a sound bath and meditation sessions across the weekend, and it is also inviting attendees to take part in a "restorative activation" designed to "give time to rest, soothe the nervous system and enliven the senses".

Toyota will also sponsor the WellMind stage at this year's festival, with a line-up of psychology and wellness experts scheduled to speak on topics such as mental health, psychology, brain health and breathwork.

Toyota ambassador and mental health advocate Niall Breslin will also give a talk on the WellMind stage on Sunday, 8 May, and Toyota will showcase its latest models, including its first battery electric model, the bZ4X, at the event.

Commenting on the partnership, Zoe Bradley, head of marketing communication at Toyota Ireland, said: "We are delighted to announce that Toyota Ireland is the official car partner for Ireland’s leading health and wellness event, WellFest."

She added: "We continue our mission to create a more environmentally sustainable future by offering a wider choice of mobility solutions for motorists including self-charging hybrid, plug in hybrid and electric vehicles. We believe that through this partnership we can continue to make a meaningful difference for the people of Ireland.

"We invite attendees to check out our host of leading hybrid electric vehicles, as well as the new bZ4X at the event where they will have the opportunity to learn more about the range and be in with the chance of winning a selection of exciting prizes including a trip to Lough Erne. WellFest, in association with Gym+Coffee, is Europe's largest outdoor health, fitness and wellness festival with 150 experts appearing across over 15 stages and areas at the event, including Joe "The Body Coach" Wicks and Love Island's Dr Alex George.

Helena Ryan, co-founder of WellFest, said: “We’re delighted to partner with Toyota as our official car partner and WellMind area partner for this year’s festival.

"While Toyota is best known for its leading market position with a range of hybrid electric vehicles, it is also entirely committed to creating a better world for our generation and beyond. Given its strong credentials in the sustainability space, we are delighted to have them on board as part of this year’s festival.

"Having taken the event online during the pandemic, we are really looking forward to returning to the fields of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham this May – bigger and better than ever before.

"Nothing beats the buzz of the weekend at WellFest and it’s important for us that we make sure we are putting on the best event possible, with new areas, partners, presenters and surprises for attendees and this year’s event is shaping up to be our best yet.”
