UTAX Introduces New MFP Range

UTAX has introduced a new range of compact A4 desktop colour MFPs with improved colour quality, faster speeds, shorter warm up times and optional HyPAS functionality.

Features include a ‘quiet mode’, blank page identification and lower energy consumption, plus a manual stapler, which will finish off print jobs of up to 20 pages in length.

UTAX managing director Shaun Wilkinson says that archiving, printing and distributing high volume documents will take less time thanks to quicker warm up times of under half a minute, printing and copying speeds of up to 35 A4 ppm, and scanning speeds of up to 60 A4 ppm. For remote workers, the scan and print functions are accessible via Smartphone or tablet using UTAX’s mobile print app, Cloud Connect or Apple AirPrint.

The printers can handle a range of originals and print media formats from A6R (such as cheques and prescriptions) to A4. The five tray storage capacity of 1,850 sheets.

The integrated duplex unit also has a new, intuitive Skip Blank Page paper-saving function, which automatically identifies and filters out blank pages.

UTAX says that the new range have quieter technology than previous models and that by using the integrated ‘quiet mode’ for any application, the noise level can be reduced even further.

Security features on the Utax MFP range allows users to assign unique PIN numbers to ensure that documents are only triggered on the system after their PIN code has been entered. The smart HyPAS interface, meanwhile, allows a variety of customisable apps to optimise workflows, as well as improve efficiency and user experience.

Retail prices for the Utax’s new MFPs start from €2,000.
