Vodafone has been named Broadband Provider of the Year in the annual Switcher broadband awards.
The event was organised by price comparison website Switcher.ie.
Switcher said the awards methodology consists of c. 1,000 online interviews carried out by iReach Insights, as well as a Switcher judging panel.
Vodafone also won awards for its broadband customer service, technical support and value proposition.
Eoin Clarke, commercial director at Switcher.ie, commented: “An outlet for consumers to vote and have their voice heard, the Awards highlight the telecom providers who go above and beyond to deliver superior products and services.
“This year’s awards are set against a backdrop of rising inflation, colossal energy price hikes and rising costs across the board - meaning it’s never been more important for customers to make informed, measured decisions when switching providers.
“Winners are chosen by independent consumer research and Switcher.ie judges’ verdicts, meaning the results are always grounded in authentic, accurate data which is realistic and relevant to Irish shoppers.”
Vodafone also picked up the customer service award in Switcher’s mobile awards.
Virgin Media was the pick for data plan and SIM-only bill pay plan, with 48 rated best in class for value and SIM-only pay as you go plan.
In November 2022, Switcher was acquired by MediaHuis, the Belgian publisher of the Irish Independent.
