Tech giant Twitter will be shrinking its physical office space in Dublin as it looks to a future as more employees work from home.
Its office on Fenian Street, where the company currently occupies four floors, houses its European headquarters and is one of several offices that Twitter is moving out of or downsizing.
Other offices being closed or resized include spaces in San Francisco, New York, Sydney and Delhi.
Around 500 people are employed by Twitter in the Dublin office and the company has confirmed that no employees will lose their jobs as a result of the cost-saving measure.
The fourth floor of the office will be sub-let to a new tenant and Twitter will retain the other three floors.
The company had more than 7,500 employees at the end of 2021.
Twitter's chief people officer, Dalana Brand, told staff that the changes did not alter the company's commitment to the places where their offices are located.
"If certain offices were to close, there would be no impact to Tweeps' employment; they would simply transition to full-time WFH employees," she said.
