At Core, our vision, values, and collective efforts drive meaningful impact—for our clients, community, and planet.
Central to our mission is the goal of building a better Ireland for all, guided by a strong ESG strategy built on three core pillars:
- Our Business: Defining the essence of Core today and the vision for tomorrow.
- Our People & Culture: Cultivating unparalleled knowledge and education within their team.
- Our External Impact: Influencing clients, colleagues, the advertising industry, and wider society.
SOCIAL AND PUBLIC GOOD
Core’s CSR Committee partner with numerous organisations on an ongoing basis, both locally and internationally.
Our committee members take part in volunteering, fundraising and other activities.
We’re involved with Junior Achievers Ireland, Time to Grow and many more.
Highlights include:
■ Time To Read — In May, our volunteers concluded another successful year with 2nd class students at St James’ Primary School, featuring weekly reading sessions, a library trip, and the ever-popular office visit.
■ Jigsaw — We supported this mental health organisation by raising over €1,300 through a post-Christmas raffle and assisting with merchandise packing earlier this year.
■ Hugs (Terry’s Child Support) — Over Easter, eight Core volunteers travelled to Machakos, Kenya, raising €10,000+ to support children’s education and housing, and provided care packages to vulnerable community members.
INCLUSIVE WORKPLACE
Education is a core focus of our Diversity & Inclusion efforts.
In partnership with AsIAm, Core was proud to earn the Platinum Autism Friendly Workplace badge in 2024, following extensive training in areas like recruitment, onboarding, peer support, and management.
We also partnered with Women’s Aid to host a companywide Domestic Abuse Awareness Event, empowering employees with knowledge and resources.
Our senior team further engaged in workshops on organisational responses to support those affected.
CORE’S ENVIRONMENTAL, SOCIAL AND GOVERNANCE (ESG) STRATEGY
ESG is a vital part of Core’s overall strategy.
One example is our adoption of AdGreen in Core Creative’s production workflow.
This industry-backed initiative helps us reduce the environmental impact of advertising through tools like carbon calculators, guiding choices such as local shoots, minimal travel, and sustainable sourcing.
MENTAL HEALTH & WELLBEING
Late 2024, we launched our internal mental health programme, Head Start. Designed to foster a supportive environment for all employees across Core and aims to create a safe space where colleagues can openly discuss their mental health and seek the necessary help.
The key aims of the Head Start is to:
■ Normalising conversations around mental health.
■ Easy access to resources via our Jostle platform.
■ Multiple support channels, including trained mentors, EAPs, and open discussions.

As part of our commitment to an inclusive and supportive workplace, Core launched the Danu Programme in 2025 to assist employees through the “Three Ms”: Menstruation, Maternity, and Menopause.
These key life stages can affect mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing, and Danu offers tailored support at each phase.
Also this year, Chief of Staff Nicola Gillen helped launch a national Cancer Care at Work initiative, in collaboration with Purple House, building on Core’s 2023 Working with Cancer Policy.
This initiative aims to drive meaningful change in how Irish workplaces support employees affected by cancer.
