Local Enterprise Week aims to help firms 'Make it Happen'

The Local Enterprise Offices are the first port of call for anyone seeking information and support on starting or growing a business in Ireland. The LEO recently announced its 9th year of consecutive job growth amongst its clients with the LEOs now supporting 37,863 jobs across 7,221 companies nationwide. 

Whether you are a new entrepreneur or an existing small business owner, the Local Enterprise Office provides advice and information alongside a host of training, mentoring, consultancy, and financial supports for starting up or growing your business. With 31 dedicated teams across the Local Authority network in Ireland, Local Enterprise Offices offer a wide range of experience, skills and services to anyone in business regardless of sector.

Local Enterprise Week is organised every year by Local Enterprise Offices across the country and supported by Enterprise Ireland to help and encourage clients and their businesses to #MakeItHapppen.

This year Local Enterprise Week takes place Monday March 6th toSaturday March 11th. With a wide variety of events, seminars, and workshops hosted in person, online and in hybrid format all across the week. Events are low cost, easily accessible and are local, regional and national, with more being added as we draw nearer.

As well as the local events hosted by LEOs around the country there will also be a series of national spotlight events highlighting key areas which could help your business to grow. From Digitisation to Green and Sustainability or Export to Design innovation, there will be something to suit everyone no matter what stage your business is at.

Monday – First Steps to Export Success

09:30 – 11:30 am

Local Enterprise Office, Enterprise Ireland and Bord Bia are hosting a webinar targeting businesses who want to take those first steps or are early stage exporters to successfully develop export success. A must attend event for those planning on developing export markets.

Tuesday – You’re The Business in partnership with Google

09:30 am – 1:30 pm

No matter where you are on your digital journey, You're the Business is here to help you go further. Hosted by Google on Tuesday, 7th March, this event offers three online training sessions, live from Google in Dublin, for businesses that are looking to Get Online, Grow Online, or Go Global.

Wednesday – The Green Panel: 10 ways to address sustainability and drive competitiveness

11.00am – 12.30pm

The Green Panel aims to inform, inspire, and engage owner managers and their key staff in how they can implement Green technologies, processes and products to their business in order to be more competitive.

Thursday – Drive Cost Saving with Lean

2:30 – 3:30 pm

Organised by LEO Dublin City, this session is a panel discussion facilitated by Allyson English, from Jigsaw Better for Business discussing "How Lean for Micro can improve competitiveness and productivity in your business. Four companies from will share their personal stories of how Lean for Micro helped drive improvement in their businesses.

Friday – Innovate for Business Success

10:00 – 11:30 am

As part of Local Enterprise Week 2023, Kilkenny Local Enterprise Office is excited to present the National event Innovate 2023 to celebrate the thriving culture of innovation that exists throughout Ireland today. A key factor to any successful business, regardless of size, is innovation. Developing new ideas is the fuel that will keep your business up to date. Adding this fuel will make your business more competitive.
