Lundin Law PC is investigating claims against 6D Global Technologies, Inc. (6D Global) concerning possible violations of federal securities laws.
The investigation is related to allegations that certain statements issued by 6D Global were false and misleading concerning the company's financial performance.
6D Global, a U.S.-based tech firm, announced in August the opening of its first European office in Dublin. The project, backed by IDA Ireland after the investment project was sourced by Connect Ireland, was slated to create 60 jobs over three years.
Welcoming the announcement, enterprise minister Richard Bruton said at the time: “I am delighted that 6D Global has chosen Ireland to establish their European operations. This announcement is another Succeed in Ireland project supported by my department through IDA Ireland in association with Connect Ireland and demonstrates how reaching out to the Irish diaspora through this government initiative has brought many new companies to invest in Ireland. I wish 6D Global every success in the future.”
Joanna Murphy, ConnectIreland CEO, said: “It is great to see another 60 jobs being created through the Succeed in Ireland initiative. 6D Global is a leader in digital solutions and Dublin offers the perfect tech infrastructure to support their expansion. We are delighted to welcome them to Ireland.”
On Sept. 8, the Department of Justice indicted Benjamin Wei, the founder of New York Global Group, for securities fraud.
On Sept. 10, the DOJ arrested Wei and the Securities and Exchange Commission filed a civil action against Wei and New York Global Group for their part in the fraudulent scheme to obtain and profit from undisclosed, controlling ownership interests in several U.S. companies spawned via "reverse Chinese mergers", including 6D Global Technologies, that were secretly controlled by Wei and NYGG. When the truth was revealed, shares dropped causing investors harm.
