The Grey Matters Network has merged with Auxilia Consultants, with the merged entity rebranding as AuxiliaGroup

The merged entity will combine strengths from both companies to benefit clients and associates alike, the company stated.

Prior to the merger, Auxilia Consultants was primarily a consultancy business while GMN was primarily a contract placement business, filling interim and contract roles with experienced professionals.

Auxilia Consultants was established in 2017 by Michael Broderick, the former supply chain director of Valeo Foods, and Paul Ryan, who has over 25 years senior business executive experience. As the business grew, they formed a network of experts from all aspects of business.

According to Auxilia: “Through our network of like-minded associates, we draw on their experiences and expertise and can form dynamic, cross functional teams with the required skills to offer a complete business solution to satisfy your business needs.”

The Grey Matters Network was formalised in 2015 into a panel of experienced professionals, each bringing their own expertise. The venture is led and owned by Declan Hughes, Michael Furlong and Tony Devine.

The idea was and is that organisations could find the proven professional needed to get the job done in one place.

“That person would be available in whatever working arrangement would best suit the customer requirement. That could be a short advisory engagement right out to a full-time permanent hire. The key component is the experienced professional,” according to the company.

The operating company for the Leixlip consultancy had a negative net worth of €14,000 at the end of 2021.

AuxiliaGroup says it can offer advice on process improvement, strategic business planning, IT strategy review, talent sourcing, business performance analysis, and implementing solutions to improve efficiency with hands-on guidance and support.

CEO Paul Ryan commented: “We see an appetite in the market for a business services group that offers no nonsense quality support delivered by experienced professionals.

"We have ambitious plans to grow, scale and expand AuxiliaGroup over the coming years and will appoint a dedicated team including operations, business development and marketing personnel.”

Ryan added that the ambition is to grow revenue four-fold over the next five years, and that recruitment for sales and operations personnel has commenced.

“The employment market is very challenged at present, increasing the demand for consultancy services, project management skills and the placement of experienced professionals into interim and contract roles,” said Ryan.

“I am privileged to lead such a capable and experienced team and we are continuously attracting new talent. Our professionals have vast experience and a passion to share their knowledge and expertise with our clients.”

AuxiliaGroup held its official launch event in Dunboyne Castle Hotel earlier this week.
