Camile Thai wins top award from Irish Franchise Association

Camile Thai has been named Franchise of the Year at the Irish Franchise Association Awards 2022.

The awards event at Radisson Blu Hotel on Golden Lane in Dublin was the first occasion in nearly two and a half years that association members gathered together. 180 representatives from 30 franchises attended the black tie event.

Edel Kinane, chief marketing officer at Camile Thai, commented: “On behalf of Camile Thai and all the franchises we are delighted to accept the Overall Franchise of the Year 2022.  Food innovation, sustainability and technology will continue to be at the heart of Camile business as we scale and build on our success.” 

Burger chain Eddie Rockets won the award for Quick Service Restaurant Franchise. Managing Director Niall Fortune stated, “I am delighted to accept the award on behalf of all the staff who have worked so hard over the last few years, and our loyal and valued customers throughout the whole of Ireland.”

The awards were judged by broadcaster Bobby Kerr,  John Lane, Mags Brennan and Greg Swift, Head of Enterprise for Dublin City LEO.

“The last two years have been fairly horrendous for our sector and I really want to commend everybody for putting in such a strong portfolio of entries,” said Kerr.

“We're starting to see a lot more buoyancy in the marketplace, which is good for your businesses, and it's great to see so much innovation throughout all categories this year.

“We also saw a huge amount of focus on healthy eating, sustainability and all those things that are going to improve your business.”
