Exterion Media is installing a new, more advanced form of gallery advertising at Dublin’s Connolly Station -- the busiest in the country, with nine million passengers per year.

The company is calling its new array of 70-inch ‘dPods’ a digital media gallery, with twelve of the pods replacing the existing six-sheet mobile gallery of ads at the station.

The company said: “The installation of the twelve dPod gallery continues Exterion Media’s transformation of the advertising estate across the Iarnród Éireann network.  This latest investment underpins the commitment to develop digital OOH in relevant, high dwell time and audience rich locations.”

CIE advertising manager Mel Kellegher said: “The development is an innovative enhancement of the already popular six-sheet gallery, which will complement the existing suite of digital and classic formats available in Connolly Station and across the CIÉ estate.”

Stewart Smyth, operations director with Exterion, added: “The digitisation of the Connolly gallery marks a further step in our journey to transform the traditional OOH landscape in Ireland. Quality digital formats allow advertisers to optimise consumer engagement through the inherent capabilities of digital. The Connolly digital media gallery will provide brands with a multitude of digital creative opportunities and we look forward to hosting campaigns that take advantage of this new digital media format.”
