The DCU Ryan Academy will begin its new Illuminate Female Entrepreneurship Programme next month to assist female-led businesses in developing leadership skills, achieving scale and creating employment.
Sixteen women will be selected to participate in the programme, which gives early-stage female entrepreneurs from Louth and Meath an opportunity to participate in an Illuminate course, which is accredited by QQI (Quality & Qualifications Ireland) at Level 6, Minor Award.
AIB, Coca-Cola and the Meath and Louth LEOs will fund the programme.
According to Mandy Murphy, Regional Business Banking Manager: “AIB are delighted to support this initiative. We have a strong tradition of supporting female entrepreneurs via the Network Louth/Meath group, and this training course will give participants the chance to avail of the highest training standards in the country.”
Illuminate is a business management and leadership programme aimed at female participants who are either considering starting a business or have begun a business within the past two years. This will be DCU Ryan Academy’s first business management programme in Drogheda, which is a direct result of their memorandum of understanding with Dundalk Institute of Technology.
The conclusion of the course will take place at Coca-Cola International Services’ office on 7 December, when trainees will pitch to a specially selected panel.
Course fees are €200 per person. The programme commences 19 October and will require one day’s attendance per week. To apply, phone 041-9802444 or go to www.themilldrogheda.ie.
