Deloitte's Best Managed Companies awards scheme for 2016/17 is seeking entries. Companies entering the awards programme are judged on performance, using a wide range of criteria including strategy, capability, commitment, financials and management performance in all key functions of the business.

In its nine years of existence, awards have been presented to 115 companies which collectively have revenues of over €10 billion, employ more than 47,000 people.

One of the primary objectives of the awards is to showcase the success of indigenous companies and acknowledge their contribution to the economy.  Companies that are successful at the end of the programme will be announced in March 2017.

Brendan Jennings of Deloitte said: “Ireland is emerging from recession with growth and recovery very much at the forefront in future strategies for business. This year, the judges will be paying particular attention to those companies really driving confidence in the indigenous business sector in Ireland.

“As we look to the future of indigenous business in Ireland we’re looking for the following traits in the winning companies — resilience, ambition, confidence, agility and innovation.”
