Eleven tech startups have made it through to the Lab353 fund and accelerator programme, following a day-long competitive pitching process held in eircom’s Dublin headquarters.
Lab353 is a nine-week 'bootcamp'-style programme for mobile, cloud and IoT startups, led by SVG Partners and eircom Business Solutions.
Beginning in the last week of March, the programme aims to help its participants establish or scale commercially viable operations in Europe and the US.
The Lab353 startups will complete the programme in Dublin, where they will be given access to markets, infrastructure capability, strategic management consulting, a global network of mentors from Silicon Valley and Ireland, as well as corporate, legal and tax services through Lab353 partners.
Following the nine week programme, the companies will pitch their ideas to a group of influential investors at the ITLG Silicon Valley Global Tech Summit in Dublin, with the aim of securing up to $1 million investment each.
Originally, ten companies were to be chosen from a global shortlist of 40 for Lab353, after pitching to a panel of 20 high-profile judges.
However, the judges were so impressed by young startup NativeNote that they decided to bring them through as an extra finalist, bringing the total to eleven.
The successful participants are:
1. Kinetise (Warsaw, Poland)
2. BFC Analytics Ltd (Dublin, Ireland)
3. TVAdSync (Dublin, Ireland)
4. C-LabsLLC (Washington, USA)
5. Legalshine (Dublin, Ireland)
6. Inpofi - Kirk H&J Corporation (California, USA)
7. Cloud KPI Ltd (Wicklow, Ireland)
8. Xunity.TV (Dublin, Ireland)
9. Quantum Touch (Dublin, Ireland)
10. Flip Technologies (Kerala, India)
11. NativeNote (Dublin, Ireland).
Enda Doyle, director of Business Development and Innovation, eircom Business Solutions, said that Lab353 would provide a unique opportunity for tech startups to turn the next big idea into reality.
“Companies in the programme will get access to top technology leaders and mentors from Silicon Valley and Ireland, access to markets and the chance to raise capital, all from eircom's Internet House in the heart of Dublin.”
John Hartnett, founder and CEO of SVG Partners, added: “It is clear that the potential for these businesses is huge and Lab353 will give them the support and guidance they need to rapidly architect, scale and support commercially-viable solutions.”
A model of the successful Silicon Valley programme, Lab353 was established as a strategic partnership between SVG Partners and eircom Business Solutions, and the programme is also supported by Arvato, Digicel and industry experts from the world's top technology companies.
