German IT startup DEXINA has been selected to join the ALPHA Class of 2015 at Web Summit. DEXINA's newest project, 'LIVE AT WORK', claims to "rethink real estate" by using science, data analytics and UXdesign in its business model.

LIVE AT WORK aims to build company buildings based on each company's individual value added process and employee needs.

DEXINA founder Heiner Scholz said: "The biggest impact on the creativity and productivity of a company comes from the building. Even if you have a great company culture, you are extremely limited by your building. For us it's not really enough to just make a room look fancy or nicely designed."

Instead, LIVE AT WORK's goal is to infuse each company's culture into its building, said Scholz.

Scholz founded DEXINA along with Thilo Wiedmann 15 years ago, and the company has since grown to 60 people.

In 2013, DEXINA moved into a new office [pictured], designed and built by and for the company. Their personalised building drew enough attention to spark Scholz's idea for LIVE AT WORK.

Scholz has invested €3.5 million in LIVE AT WORK, currently holding 100% of its shares. The project has drawn clients from startups, SMEs and Fortune 500 companies.

Web Summit's ALPHA class includes early-stage startups from around the world, selected to exhibit their businesses, meet with investors and attend Summit events. Web Summit 2015 will run from November 3-5.
