PR agencies FleishmanHillard and Wilson Hartnell won the most awards in the 2015 PR Awards for Excellence, the annual award scheme for Ireland’s public relations consultancies.

This year saw the highest level of entries in the 22 year history of the awards, which recognise the key role PR plays in helping organisations achieve their business objectives, across 20 categories.

PRCA chairman Sharon Murphy said there are clear signs of growth in the industry, as evidenced by the record number of entries to the awards this year.

“For the first time since the economic crisis, there has been a meaningful increase in recruitment across the industry, both in consultancies and in-house. This is a reflection of the increased confidence firms have in planning for the future,” she said.

“The PR industry has been quick to respond to emerging trends and there is an ever growing need to ensure businesses and organisations remain relevant into the future. PR is well positioned to meet this need and there is certainly no lack of creativity, strategic thinking, or innovation within the industry.

The Awards are now in its 22nd year and the event is held annually.
