Property database company GeoDirectory has upgraded its GeoFindIT app to include real-time travel information for the Dublin area.
The latest version of GeoFindIT now includes real-time information for Dublin Bus, Luas and Irish Rail services including DART and commuter services.
Chief executive Dara Keogh (pictured) said: “We are really excited with the latest update of the GeoFindIT App. The inclusion of Dublin Bus, Dublin Bikes, Luas and Irish Rail real time info provides commuters with a one-stop shop when planning their journey across the city. We are always looking for ways to improve our app and showcase the depth of our database.”
The enhanced app does not take account of recent privatisation of some of Dublin’s bus routes to operator Go Ahead.
GeoDirectory was jointly established by An Post and Ordnance Survey Ireland to create and manage Ireland’s only complete database of commercial and residential buildings. The figures are recorded through a combination of the An Post network of 5,600 delivery staff working with OSI.
The database is used by the Central Statistics Office to achieve more accurate census results, by Gas Networks Ireland to identify and categorise potential new customers, and by 11890 Directory Inquiries to provide detailed directions and maps to users.
In the property sector, GeoDirectory is used by Daft.ie and the Property Registration Authority. In addition, utility companies, banking and insurance providers, and all local authorities use the database.
