Inspirefest Marrying Sci-Tech And Arts

Inspirefest, the sci-tech and arts festival, returns to Dublin this week with an engaging line-up of speakers and events.

The two-day festival of technology, science, design and the arts takes place on May 16 and 17 in the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre. The event is organised by Silicon Republic.

Themes in this year’s Inspirefest include medtech and product design, distributed workplaces, blockchain and the media. More than 50 business leaders and thinkers will variously address these themes, including Glitch CEO and former digital strategy advisor to the Obama administration, Anil Dash.

Other speakers taking part include award-winning BBC science journalist Angela Saini and Theranos whistle-blower Erika Cheung.

Ann O’Dea, Silicon Republic CEO and Inspirefest founder, said that the calibre of speakers gathered for this year’s festival is “truly special”. “We’re always looking to gain alternative perspectives and explore challenging issues with our line-up of speakers,” she added.
